Final Thoughts: Hello Fresh

$10.75 or $9.08/plate, depending on meal type
Best feature: I loved the recipe booklet, mini ruler, and extra tips included in the booklet. Recipes were more familiar, nothing off-the-wall weird. And, that spiced honey butter....MMMM!
Worst feature: Sides were a hit or miss. HF uses styrofoam packaging, which my recycling company does not accept. Also, vegetarians do not get to choose their meal selections at this time.
Overall, I thought Hello Fresh was much better than Plated! The recipe selection wasn't like choosing dinner at a fancy restaurant. There were classic no-fail recipes such as chicken breast and burgers. The menu had selections I wanted to eat. Sides were still a hit-or-miss. Our watercress salad and avocado salsa verde largely went to waste. When I'm paying $10 a plate, I want to enjoy every last part of it.
None of the recipes were particularly difficult. The only cooking problem I had was that perhaps I didn't seal my juicy lucy burgers tight enough.
Here's a visual reminder of the three recipes I chose:
Pan-seared pork chops with pineapple-serrano relish and spicy cheddar grits:
Charred garlic-lime chicken with avocado salsa verde and spiced honey-butter corn:
Juicy Lucy burgers with tomato-red onion jam and charred romaine:
